Sunday links: Spring forward (again)

Excerpt from The Low Road courtesy of my smart coworker Tanya who included it in a recent training.

Links that feel right tonight:

Melissa Harris-Perry’s interview with Ava DuVernay, director of Selma, back in January and her conversations with Rep. John Lewis, Susannah Heschel, and Rev. Dr. Jacqui Lewis in Selma today.

Names to know.

Are you in Chicago? Is your voter registration up to date? After a recent move, mine wasn’t, and I realized today that this coming Tuesday is the deadline to mail in the change of address form. The runoff is coming!

Jessica Williams. Exhibit AExhibit B.

“We shouldn’t have to justify our humanity in order to live. Our existence is not a threat.”

I loved seeing LuminAid on Shark Tank, and I loved this interview with Natalia Oberti Noguera (who introduced me to the LuminAid ladies once upon a time)!

Janet Mock really strikes me as the loveliest.

My link roundups are influenced by Ann Friedman’s newsletter, and it’s good to know she’s OK with that.

This salad is a keeper.

And  it wouldn’t be a link roundup without words from Trish.

Spring forward, friends.
