What a cold, white-gray time we all seem to be having. Here! Have some color for your eyeballs.
And imagine that the temperature is approximately four thousand degrees and you are sweating like you never have before, because those are the conditions under which all of these photos were taken.
I didn’t take my big digital camera to Thailand. I wanted to reconnect with my 35mm film camera; didn’t want to lug too much stuff around; and liked the idea of dropping off rolls of film after the trip and being rewarded weeks or months later with the images, even though I knew they wouldn’t do the trip justice.
But film isn’t cheap, and sometimes I didn’t feel like carrying anything, let alone a camera, because did I mention it was SO. HOT.? So I have an odd assortment of film scans, like the ones above, and then phone snapshots like this one:
All that is to say: I love Thailand. I love unplugging from social media and screens for nearly two weeks, setting up a secret family-only email address that we only used occasionally through my travel buddy’s phone, and only using my own phone to snap photos. And I love my pictures from the trip, imperfect and inconsistent as they are. So here goes a little series, ROY G. BIV-style, to fight the winter doldrums. Tonight: red!
Click on any of these to see where they were taken and if we got into any trouble in the process. More colors and more posts soon.
p.s. Need more colors and more wanderlust? I made a Copenhagen rainbow once upon a time.
So much fun to get this! You have such a good eye. And organizing/sending by color is a really cool idea.
Good day! Do you use Twitter? I’d like to follow you if
that would be ok. I’m absolutely enjoying your blog

You actually make it seem so easy with youyr presentation but I find this topic

It seems too complex and very broad for me.
